Jefferson Area is a perfect 5-0 against Conneaut since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Falcons will host the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Jefferson Area is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Sharon on Tuesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 9-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Falcons have suffered since April 19, 2024.

Jefferson Area saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marillia Matuz, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Conneaut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 11-4 to Geneva.

Conneaut's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Jefferson Area, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Jefferson Area took their victory against Conneaut in their previous meeting on April 14th by a conclusive 19-3 score. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
