Volleyball Recap: Westwood Starts off Right with Win over Camelback

Westwood took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Camelback Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Westwood took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-9, 25-15.

Nicole Saavedra paced Westwood's offense, picking up ten kills. Saavedra got some help from Amelie Caldwell and her 12 assists. Rocklyn Clark controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Westwood has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Casteel on the 29th. As for Camelback, they will take on Dobson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
