Volleyball Recap: Yuma Comes Up Short

Yuma lost against Dysart back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Criminals took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Demons.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 19-25, 25-14, 25-10.

Loss or not, Yuma got some senior leadership from Larissa Franco and Jennavecia Guzman. Franco had eight aces and six digs, while Guzman had 20 digs. Guzman is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last 12 games she's played. Louise Prevots was another key player, getting nine digs.

Sarah Martinez Lopez went supernova For Dysart., getting seven aces and three digs. That's the most aces Martinez Lopez has posted since back in September.

Yuma's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Dysart, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.

Coincidentally, Yuma and Dysart will both be playing Tempe the next time they take the court. The Demons will head out to face the Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Criminals will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
