Volleyball Recap: Anclote Comes Up Short

Anclote was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pasco Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sharks of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Lexi Miller paced Anclote's offense, picking up two kills. Miller got some help from Hailey Smith and her three assists. Smith was also a major player on defense: she and she shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with eight each.

Anclote's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Pasco, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.

Anclote didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Gulf on the 27th. As for Pasco, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Classical Prep on the 27th.
