Soccer Game Preview: Splendora vs. Port Neches-Groves

The Splendora Wildcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Port Neches-Groves Indians at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Splendora's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Splendora's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Summer Creek on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Port Neches-Groves put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand Lumberton a 1-0 shutout. The Indians' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last six contests.

Port Neches-Groves' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Splendora, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
