Volleyball Recap: St. Augustine's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After flying high against Warner Christian Academy last Wednesday, St. Augustine came back down to earth. The St. Augustine Yellow Jackets fell just short of the Tocoi Creek Toros by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

St. Augustine took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-14, 21-25, 23-25, 25-23, 15-13.

St. Augustine's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Tocoi Creek, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, St. Augustine and Beachside will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court one another at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th. Tocoi Creek will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Creekside at 6:30 p.m. on March 26th. Creekside will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Tocoi Creek surely won't give up without a fight.
