Volleyball Recap: Adysen Wargo and Abbie Washine Secure Win for Western Wayne

After losing to Dunmore the last time they met, Western Wayne decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bucks on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Western Wayne got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 26-24, 17-25, 37-35.

Leading Western Wayne to victory were Abbie Washine and Adysen Wargo. Washine had three digs and two aces, while Wargo had 14 digs. Washine has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 15 times she's played. Maggie Kotchessa also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Dunmore's loss came despite strong showings from Elena Piepoli and Katelyn Henry. Piepoli had 27 digs, while Henry had 24 assists and five digs.

Western Wayne's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Dunmore, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-8-1.

As of now, neither Western Wayne nor the Bucks have any future games scheduled.
