Basketball Game Preview: Fargo South Bruins vs. West Fargo Packers

The Fargo South Bruins will venture away from home to challenge the West Fargo Packers at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

It was a classic North v. South duel when Fargo South took on Fargo North on Tuesday. Fargo South fell to Fargo North 63-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (56), the Bruins still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, West Fargo came up short against Fargo Davies on Tuesday and fell 84-71. While losing is never fun, the Packers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Eagles are ranked eighth).

Fargo South has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for West Fargo, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-6.

Fargo South came up short against West Fargo in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 82-78. Can Fargo South avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
