Softball Recap: Geneva County Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

With a playoff win on the line, Geneva County rose to the challenge on Friday. They never let the Cottonwood Bears get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 12 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Geneva County pushed their record up to 18-13 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Cottonwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-14.

Cottonwood has already played their next game, an 11-8 victory against Samson on the 25th. Hopefully Geneva County paid attention to the Bears' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
