Volleyball Recap: Kent Denver Sun Devils vs. Bennett Tigers
Kent Denver was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They came up short against the Bennett Tigers, falling 3-0. The Sun Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.
Kent Denver was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Bennett work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 26-24, 25-7.
Despite the defeat, Kent Denver saw an underclassman step up: freshman Bita Parizi-Newman had 11 digs.
Kent Denver's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Bennett, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
Kent Denver will venture away from home to challenge Denver Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bennett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
