Recap: Ranchview Wolves vs. Canyon Eagles
The Ranchview Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 54-19 loss at the hands of Canyon. Ranchview was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-2.
When it comes to explaining why Ranchview lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alexis Simpson. Despite the final result, she scored 7 points. Simpson scored a full 36.8% of Ranchview's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Ranchview's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-9. As for Canyon, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Poteet the next time they take the court. Ranchview will head out to face Poteet at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, while Canyon will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
