Basketball Game Preview: Centennial Knights vs. Westminster Wildcats

The Centennial Knights will head out to take on the Westminster Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Centennial is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Howard just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 79-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 147th in Georgia, while the Wildcats are ranked fourth in Delaware).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Westminster challenged Oviedo on Saturday. Westminster fell 63-56 to Oviedo. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Westminster, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Centennial lost to Westminster on the road by a decisive 50-34 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2016. Can Centennial avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
