Wirt County has gone 9-1 against Calhoun recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tigers will challenge the Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. Wirt County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.5 points per game this season.

Wirt County is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Sherman just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Tide, falling 54-30. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Alex Bevel, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 13 points and eight rebounds. Jake Moore was another key player, putting up six points.

Meanwhile, Calhoun took a blow against Wahama on Tuesday, falling 102-40. The loss continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the White Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.

Calhoun's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Wirt County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.

Everything came up roses for Wirt County against Calhoun in their previous meeting back in December of 2025, as the squad secured a 72-34 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
