Softball Recap: Sioux Falls Christian Takes a Loss

Sioux Falls Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Madison on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Chargers have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Sophia O'Neil was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Kate Preheim was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run.

Sioux Falls Christian now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Madison, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sioux Falls Christian will challenge Colman-Egan at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Madison, they will venture away from home to challenge Canton at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
