They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 56-51 W against the Houston Wildcats. This was payback for the Pirates, who suffered a 67-58 loss the last time these two teams met.

Riverside pushed their record up to 7-14 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Houston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.
