Softball Recap: Almont Find Success

Almont never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They skirted past the Brown City Green Devils 2-0.

Brooklyn Bunch was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Emma Campbell also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Almont is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Brown City, they moved to 6-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Almont will challenge Imlay City at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brown City, they will square off against Marlette at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
