Basketball Recap: Saxony Lutheran Comes Up Short

Saxony Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Sikeston Bulldogs, falling 75-37. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-36 back in December of 2024.

Saxony Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Sikeston, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saxony Lutheran will face off against Dexter at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sikeston, they will be playing at home against Kennett at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Sikeston is facing Kennett at the right time seeing as Kennett is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
