Kennebunk won against Thornton Academy  on Tuesday with 11  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Thursday. The Rams didn't even let the Scarborough Red Storm on the board, marking the Rams' second-straight  11-0 shutout. Considering the Rams have won nine games by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Juliann Pike was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Mia McCarthy was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run. Those  three  RBI gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Talia Kellum, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs.
 Kennebunk was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive  contests.
Kennebunk is  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Scarborough, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kennebunk will  square off against  rival Cheverus  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Rams 2.9, the Stags 1.2) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Scarborough is set to  take on  their familiar foe Deering  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
