Basketball Recap: Winslow Comes Up Short

Winslow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The game between them and the Morse Shipbuilders didn't end well, with the Winslow Black Raiders falling 41-27. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Black Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-27 back in December of 2024.

Winslow's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Morse, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winslow will welcome Oceanside at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oceanside knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Winslow likes a good challenge. As for Morse, they will square off against Belfast at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
