Soccer Game Preview: Chiles vs. Lincoln

The Chiles Timberwolves will face off against the Lincoln Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chiles will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Lincoln better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Chiles really get things going. Chiles' defense stepped up to hand Florida State University High School a 3-0 shutout on Friday. The Timberwolves' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matches.

Meanwhile, Lincoln didn't have quite enough to beat Choctawhatchee on Saturday and fell 2-1.

Chiles pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8-2.

Everything went Chiles' way against Lincoln when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Chiles made off with a 4-0 win. Does Chiles have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lincoln turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
