Basketball Recap: Sho-Ban Takes a Loss

Sho-Ban lost against Leadore last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sho-Ban Chiefs took a blow against the Leadore Mustangs, falling 68-22.

Leading Leadore to victory were Lexi Bird and Katie Mackay. Bird dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Mackay almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave Mackay a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylee Bird, who posted eight points.

Sho-Ban has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Leadore, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Sho-Ban does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Leadore, they will head out to face off against Rockland at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Rockland: 25.7, Leadore: 25.7) so any points scored will be well earned.
