Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Fountain Inn's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

Fountain Inn proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 16) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Laurens Raiders 1-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Fury also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Not much got past Brayden Passmore, who gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Laurens off the board. Passmore has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lucas Cannon, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Fountain Inn is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Laurens, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6.
