Volleyball Recap: Paramount Comes Up Short

If Paramount was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Dominguez last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates came up short against the Gahr Gladiators on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Gladiators recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Paramount may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 18 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-18.

Paramount's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Gahr, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Paramount is set to take on their familiar foe Lynwood at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Gahr will square off against rival Firebaugh at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
