Nemaha Central and Marysville are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Thunder will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Nemaha Central's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Marysville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Thursday, Nemaha Central came up short against Jefferson West and fell 6-2. The Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Marysville didn't have quite enough to beat Centralia on Friday and fell 10-8. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly two runs.

Sara Nemec made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three RBI, and one triple while going 4-for-4. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Dressman, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Nemaha Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Marysville, they dropped their record down to 9-9 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Nemaha Central skirted past Marysville 7-5 when the teams last played back in May of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunder since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
