Basketball Recap: Southeast Career Tech Falls Despite Big Games from Edward Arellano and Diego Galarza

It was a classic East v. West duel when Southeast Career Tech took on Western on Friday. The Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners fell to the Western Warriors 55-51. The Roadrunners have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Diego Galarza and Edward Arellano certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Galarza posted 13 points, while Arellano earned 13 points. Another player making a difference was Worthy Manumaleuna, who put up nine points.

Southeast Career Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Western, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast Career Tech will venture away from home to square off against Desert Oasis at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Western, they are taking a road trip to challenge Shadow Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Shadow Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Western likes a good challenge.
