Football Recap: Murrah Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Murrah's offense. They had to suffer through a 44-0 loss at the hands of the Lanier Bulldogs. Considering the last time the Mustangs couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Schorrard Murray threw for 65 yards on seven of 17 attempts. VanQuavious Lard was his top target, picking up 31 receiving yards.

Knolyn Bailey produced another solid performance rushing for 160 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.4 yards per carry for Lanier. Bailey is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 110 every time he's taken the field this season.

Murrah's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lanier, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Murrah wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 35-0 loss against Clinton on the 9th. As for Lanier, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 30-8 victory against Provine on the 10th.
