Basketball Recap: Germantown Takes Down Ranked Tupelo

On Tuesday, Germantown faced Tupelo in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Germantown Mavericks enjoyed a cozy 48-31 win over the Tupelo Golden Wave. The Mavericks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Wave, too.

Germantown is also on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Tupelo, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5.
