Basketball Game Preview: Ballard Beavers vs. Bishop Blanchet Bears

Ballard is 2-8 against Bishop Blanchet since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Ballard Beavers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bishop Blanchet Bears at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Ballard took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 44-32 victory over Franklin.

Meanwhile, Bishop Blanchet put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ingraham 61-23. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 38 points or more this season.

Bishop Blanchet's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.2 points. As for Ballard, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Ballard came up short against Bishop Blanchet in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 58-47. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bishop Blanchet's Brooke Campbell, who went 13 of 15 on her way to 26 points and seven boards.
