Mt. Vernon-Enola and Sacred Heart are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Warhawks will head out to square off against the Rebels at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Mt. Vernon-Enola's offense. They came up short against Quitman on Tuesday, falling 7-0. The Warhawks have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart made easy work of Guy-Perkins on Tuesday and carried off a 13-3 victory. Considering the Rebels have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Sacred Heart pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Mt. Vernon-Enola, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.

Mt. Vernon-Enola suffered a grim 14-4 defeat to Sacred Heart when the teams last played back in April of 2019. Can the Warhawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
