St. John the Baptist was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from 14th to 11th in Catholic. Earlier in the week, the Cougars triumphed over St. Peter's 27-7.

St. Francis Prep added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Bishop Ford, 49-32. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Terriers.

Jordan Gowins was a passing and rushing force as St. Anthony's beat Fordham Prep. Gowins' favorite target this week was Naim Jones, who caught 5 passes for 42 yards.

Gowins was a force in the backfield as the Friars topped the Rams.

Gowins was the best running back in the league this week. In 15 carries, he ran for 220 yards as St. Anthony's lost to St. Francis Prep. Teammate Jones added to the ground attack by rushing for 54 yards.

Leading Catholic in both passing and receiving yards, Bishop Ford's James Esposito and Gonzales have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Esposito has thrown for 1,531 yards this season, while Gonzales has 42 catches for 761 yards. Gowins from Rich Reichert's team leads the league in rushing with 1,548 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place St. Francis Prep takes on second place St. Anthony's.

Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when Jim Esposito's team's Gonzales goes up against Mt. St. Michael Academy's Tyrrell Halliman.

Next week's game between the Falcons and the Mountaineers will feature a good passing match up as Esposito will test his arm against Halliman's defensive ability.
