Baseball Recap: Polytechnic Takes a Loss

Polytechnic lost to Alhambra back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 7-5.

Polytechnic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caiden Kennedy, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Kennedy is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Polytechnic's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.67 runs. As for Alhambra, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Polytechnic will head out to challenge Hoover at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Alhambra, they will venture away from home to square off against San Marino at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.1, the Titans 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
