Basketball Game Preview: Sedgwick Cardinals vs. Bennington Bulldogs

The Sedgwick Cardinals will head out to take on the Bennington Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sedgwick is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Sedgwick came up short against Remington on Monday, falling 47-25. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 294th, while the Broncos are ranked 98th).

Meanwhile, Bennington came up short against Trinity on Monday and fell 59-50.

Sedgwick's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Bennington, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Sedgwick ended up a good deal behind Bennington in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, losing 48-30. Thankfully for Sedgwick, Eli Lawson (who went 6-for-11 to rack up 15 points in addition to six boards and five assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
