Softball Recap: Madison Horton's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mobile Christian over Tate

Mobile Christian has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.56 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (11-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Mobile Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Horton, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Mobile Christian has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. Tate's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Coming up, Mobile Christian will face off against Liberty County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tate, they will head out on the road to square off against Opp at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
