Volleyball Recap: Excelsior Charter Comes Up Short

Excelsior Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Excelsior Charter's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Excelsior Charter will venture away from home to take on Academy of Careers & Exploration at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy, they will take on Rancho Mirage at 6:00 p.m. on September 3.
