Football Recap: Burlington Takes a Loss

Burlington was the 31-14 winner over Elkhorn when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Demons fell 27-23 to the Elks on Friday. The Demons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Burlington's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Elkhorn, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Burlington and Elkhorn should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Demons (ranked 88th) will meet Westosha Central (ranked 234th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Elkhorn will face off against Wilmot at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (75 vs. 220).
