Softball Recap: Clear Springs' Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Clear Springs waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Dickinson Gators. That's more bragging rights for the Chargers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Grace Hirst looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Alana Strever was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Brooke Colianni, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and one double.

Clear Springs' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Dickinson, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-16.

Coincidentally, Clear Springs and Dickinson will both be playing Deer Park the next time they take the field. Clear Springs will head out to face Deer Park at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Dickinson will host them at 6:45 p.m. on March 25th.
