Baseball Recap: Orono Takes a Loss

Orono lost to Bucksport back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Riots fell just short of the Golden Bucks by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Riots have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Orono and nudges their season record down to 1-2. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Bucksport, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Orono is set to challenge their familiar foe George Stevens Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bucksport will face off against rival Narraguagus at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
