Port Isabel and La Feria are an even 5-5 against one another  since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Tarpons will challenge the Lions at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Port Isabel is looking for their season's first  victory.
Port Isabel came up short against  Hidalgo on Tuesday, falling  17-1.
Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when La Feria duked it out with Valley View on Tuesday. The Lions won by a  run and slipped past the Tigers  6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Lions have posted  since February 27th.
 The team  relied heavily on  Andruw Rivera, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.  Noah Arranda was another key player,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 The  victory made it two in a row for La Feria and  bumps their season record up to 7-4. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7  runs in those games. As for Port Isabel, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
 Port Isabel might still be hurting after the  20-2 loss they got from La Feria  when the teams last played  two weeks ago. Can the Tarpons avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
