Football Recap: Weeki Wachee's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Weeki Wachee can now relate to. They fell 13-7 to the Nature Coast Tech Sharks on Tuesday. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Sharks earlier this season, when they won 13-8.

With the defeat, Weeki Wachee broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-5. As for Nature Coast Tech, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Weeki Wachee will challenge New Smyrna Beach at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd. The Barracudas' defense has only allowed 5.3 points per game this season, so the Hornets' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Nature Coast Tech, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-8 loss against Hernando on the 17th.
