Basketball Recap: Meridian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Capital, Meridian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Emmett Huskies by a score of 58-48. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, Emmett still got an impressive performance from Natalie Goslin, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 16 boards. With that strong performance, Goslin is now averaging an impressive 16.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Alison Weekes, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 11 points and seven rebounds.

Meridian's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Emmett, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Meridian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-48 defeat against Bishop Kelly on the 3rd. As for Emmett, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 45-15 loss against Ridgevue on the 3rd.
