Recap: Pickens County Tornadoes vs. Hubbertville Lions
The Pickens County Tornadoes fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They put the hurt on Hubbertville with a sharp 39-15 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for Pickens County, who have now won five matches by 24 points or more so far this season.
Among those leading the charge was Santonio Jones, who picked up 215 receiving yards and two touchdowns. korbit sommerville was in the mix as well, providing Pickens County with two touchdowns.
Pickens County's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Hubbertville, their defeat was their fourth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 4-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Marion County the next time they take the field. Hubbertville will head out to face Marion County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Pickens County will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 2nd.
