Baseball Preview: North Forney Falcons vs. MacArthur Cardinals

The North Forney Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the MacArthur Cardinals at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Having struggled with ten losses in a row dating back to last season, North Forney turned things around against Ennis on Friday. Neither they nor the Lions could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask MacArthur). Everything went their way against Sam Houston on Friday as MacArthur made off with a 9-0 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Parker Lindsey and Angel Gomez did most of the damage at the plate: Lindsey scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Gomez went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Gomez also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Adrian Salas, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
