Softball Recap: Canyon Hills Victorious

Canyon Hills won against Sage Creek on Friday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Canyon Hills Rattlers walked away with a 4-0 win over the Maranatha Christian Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rattlers.

Not much got past Natalye Debus, who gave up just three hits and racked up 17 Ks to keep Maranatha Christian off the board. Those 17 strikeouts gave Debus a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Hal'E Martin was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024.

Canyon Hills' victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Canyon Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Hilltop on the 1st. As for Maranatha Christian, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles challenge the Golden Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
