Football Recap: Oceanside Takes a Loss

Oceanside lost against Foxcroft Academy back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mariners were beaten by the Ponies 39-8. That's two games in a row now that the Mariners have lost by exactly 31 points.

Braeden Toothaker threw for 51 yards on two of seven attempts. Leland Galley was his top target, picking up 47 receiving yards.

Oceanside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Foxcroft Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Oceanside will face off against rival Hermon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Foxcroft Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Old Town at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
