Basketball Game Preview: Garden City Buffaloes vs. Hays Indians

The Garden City Buffaloes will face off against the Hays Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Garden City is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Liberal just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Redskins by a score of 44-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Buffaloes have suffered since January 30, 2024.

Meanwhile, Hays put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Emporia to the tune of 66-12. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Garden City's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2. As for Hays, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
