Softball Recap: The Villages Charter Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for The Villages Charter's offense. They fell just short of the Belleview Rattlers by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that the Buffalo have lost by just one run.

The Villages Charter is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-9. As for Belleview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

The Villages Charter and Belleview are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Buffalo will face off against Mount Dora at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Canes' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so The Villages Charter's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Belleview, they will take on Deltona at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rattlers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
