Basketball Recap: Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy Find Success

Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy's game on Friday was all tied up 26-26 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 61-53 win over the NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 64-46 back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, NorthPoint Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gabe Spann almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. Spann's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chelan Chudgar, who posted 15 points and three steals.

The victory got Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy back to even at 7-7. As for NorthPoint Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.
