Basketball Recap: Morehead Takes a Loss

Morehead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Carver Yellowjackets.

Carver was led to victory by Jeremiah Glaspie and Quinton Stone. Glaspie went 7-for-10 on his way to 17 points and five boards, while Stone posted 14 points and five rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Glaspie now owns an excellent 45.5% shooting accuracy. Tiquan March was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Morehead's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Carver, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-8.

Morehead has already played their next matchup, a 64-51 defeat against Rockingham County on the 10th. As for Carver, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-49 win against Bartlett Yancey on the 10th.
