Volleyball Game Preview: Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack vs. Franklin Wildcats

The Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack will square off against the Franklin Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Cosumnes Oaks saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of Central Catholic by a score of 2-1. The Wolfpack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Franklin didn't have quite enough to beat Pleasant Grove on Thursday and fell 3-2. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-21 in the first set.

Franklin wouldn't go down easily and took Pleasant Grove into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-17, 25-16, 15-25, 15-13.

Cosumnes Oaks' defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Franklin, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 17-9.
