Basketball Recap: Sanderson Takes a Loss

Sanderson lost against Cardinal Gibbons last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Sanderson Spartans were outmatched by the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders and fell 71-38. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cardinal Gibbons got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaclyn Deis out in front who posted ten points. Deis has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Lilly Kenefick was another key player, putting up eight points and nine rebounds.

Sanderson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Cardinal Gibbons, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.

Sanderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Leesville Road at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leesville Road is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season.
